School Based Occupational Therapist | Ithaca, NY | Starting Pay $48/Hour | Part Time

ProCare Therapy has partnered with a school district in Ithaca, New York to hire a part time, licensed, occupational therapist for the spring semester. You'll be working with a primarily elementary caseload conducting initial evaluations + re-evaluations. Additionally this position will be responsible for writing and updating IEPs, consult to staff and Medicaid billing. Hours will be 7:45am - 3:00pm, 3 days per week. It will be a contracted position through ProCare Therapy and will offer competitive hourly pay starting at $48/hour which is negotiable depending on experience. The district would prefer candidates who have experience working in a school setting. An active Occupational Therapist license and knowledge of school based OT practices will be required to be considered for this position. More details regarding the caseload and specifics of the role can be provided during an interview with the special education director. Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree required
  • Active Occupational Therapist License required
  • In schools experience preferred
  • Fingerprinting, drug screen & background check will be required of all candidates
  • Special education experience required
  • Interest in schools and education preferred
